Welcome to our blog in which we will share with you the magical world of Sherry wines.  

Most posts will be in English and in Spanish, some may only be in English and a few others only in Spanish.

Let us introduce you to the different categories which we will be posting on our blog.

Bienvenidos a nuestro blog en el que compartiremos con vosotros la magía del mundo del vino de Jerez.

La mayoría de las páginas las publicaremos en inglés y en castellano.  Algunas solo en inglés y otras  pocas solo en castellano.

Estas son algunas de las categorías que aparecerán en nuestro blog.

ALL ABOUT SHERRY.    Sherry  wine boasts of a passionate 3,000 years of history.  The attention provided in the vineyard is intricate and each aspect must be meticulously provided.  The harvest has to be quick so that the grapes arrive in perfect condition to the press.  The must will be transformed into young wine which will be the base from which sherry wine will be created.  The variety of the resulting wines will range from very dry to very, very sweet.

TODO SOBRE EL JEREZ.  El jerez tiene más de tres mil años de historia apasionante.  Las labores de la viña son intensas y hay que cuidar de cada aspecto.  La vendimia tiene que ser rápida para que las uvas lleguen perfectas al lagar.  Del mosto se transformará al vino nuevo que será la base del jerez. La variedad de vinos va de los más secos a los muy, muy dulces.

SHERRY MOMENTS

BODEGAS & VINEYARDS .  The bodegas or wineries, are very special in the Sherry region. Just the aroma that you perceive makes you want to stay there for ever.  We will guide you through some of the finest Sherry  bodegas in the area, some as large as cathedrals.  Others are small and cozy, but all of them are mysterious and still.  In comparison, the vineyards will change as the year moves on, they will go from bare to full, from brown stems to green grapes to golden yellow ones ready for harvesting.

BODEGAS Y VIÑAS.  Las bodegas del vino de Jerez son muy especiales, solo el aroma que percibimos al entrar en cualquiera de ellas, nos hace querer quedarnos para siempre.  Os pasearemos en nuestras páginas por bodegas grandes llamdas bodegas catedral, y por otras pequeñas y acogedoras, pero todas misteriosas y en calma.  Por otro lado las viñas cambiarán según cambian las estaciones, pasaremos del tronco de la viña a a uvas verdes y luego cuando llega el momento y la uva se rinde, tendrá un color dorado.

AMAZING SHERRY PEOPLE.  This will be one of my favorite postings.  Sometimes we forget the amazing people that are behind the world of Sherry.  People who love it and you can tell just by listening to them talk about it.  People who traveled many miles around the world introducing Sherry to other countries and cultures, people who share their love and passion for Sherry in so many different ways.  We will introduce you to many amazing Sherry people.

PERSONAS INCREÍBLES DEL JEREZ.   Este será uno de mis páginas favoritas.  A veces nos olvidamos de las personas tan increíbles que hay en el mundo del jerez.  Personas a las que les apasiona  y a las que da gusto oír hablar del jerez. Personas que han viajado miles de kilómetros por todo el mundo presentando estos vinos a otras culturas, en otros países, y compartiendo su pasión por el jerez de tantas formas diferentes.  Les presentaremos a muchas de estas  increíbles personas del jerez.

SHERRY GASTRONOMY.   We will share with you, in English and Spanish, the tastings and pairings that we offer.  We will post recipes, and give you tips on the location of the best places to go tapa-hopping in the Sherry region.

GASTRONOMÍA Y SHERRY.  Compartiremos reportajes de las catas y degustación de tapas que hacemos en inglés y en castellano, así como recetas, y los mejores sitios para de ir de tapas en la tierra del jerez.

DISCOVERING THE SHERRY REGION. The beautiful cities, towns, beaches, mountains, the wonderful monuments, the festivities, and other typical products from this area such as the table wines, cheeses, seafood and fish, will be the focus of this category.

DESCUBRIMOS LA TIERRA DEL JEREZ.  Las preciosas ciudades, pueblos, playas, sierras, los maravillosos monumentos, las fiestas, y otros productos típicos como Vinos d ela Tierra, quesos, marisco y pecado, serán los protagonistas de esta categoría.
