Discover Sherry Team´s lunch. Comida del Equipo de Discover Sherry.

Nos reunimos por fin la mayoría del equipo Discover Sherry. Faltaron cuatro compañeros que estaban de viaje. Pasamos un rato estupendo, disfrutamos estando “al otro lado” sin tener que preparar y servir las tapas esta vez.

We were finally able to get the Discover Sherry Team together to have lunch.  Unfortunately, we were missing four friends who were traveling.  Nonetheless, we had a great time enjoying “the other side of the fence, ” this time without having to prepare and serve our tapas.

Con el menú que nos sirvieron en el Restaurante Los Rescoldos probamos dos vinos tintos de nuestro profe Santiago Jordi, Enólogo y actual Presidente de la Federación Española de Asociaciones de Enólogos.  “Ser o No Ser” 2011 de la D.O. Toro fue el primero que probamos.  La variedad de uva es 100% Tinta de Toro y tiene 12 meses en barrica de roble francés. Nos gustó mucho a todos.

Along with the tasty  menu that was specially prepared by the Los Rescoldos Restaurant, we tried some new red wines that were created by our wine professor, Santiago Jordi, who is an oenologist and the current President of the Spanish Association of Oenoligists.  The first wine that we tried was “Ser o No Ser” (To Be or Not to Be), a 2011 vintage from the Toro D.O.  The grape variety is 100% Tinta de Toro and it has been aged for 12 months in a French Oak barrel.  We all enjoyed this wine.

El Segundo vino que tomamos fue también un tinto esta vez de la Tierra de Cádiz, “Margarito y Amapolo” 2012. Este vino lleva 80% de Petit Verdot y un 20% de Graciano, envejece 6 meses en roble francés y roble americano.

The second wine which we had was also a red wine, but from the Province of Cadiz.  It is called “Margarito and Amapolo” and it is a 2012 vintage.  This wine is an assemblage of 80% Petit Verdot grape  and 20% Graciano grape.  It is aged for 6 months in French Oak and in American Oak.

IMG_3452Somos  un equipo estupendo disfrutamos de lo que hacemos y cada uno aporta su particular especialidad.  Estamos preparando nuestros próximos eventos os tendremos al tanto.

We are a great Team and we enjoy what we do.  Everyone contributes by providing their particular and special talent.  We are preparing for upcoming events.  We´ll keep you posted.
