El jueves 12 de marzo asistimos a primera conferencia del ciclo “Conoce y disfruta de nuestros Vinos” organizado por la Asociación cultural Amigos de los Patios Portuenses, el Ateneo del Vino el Bar Vicente. Estas Segundas Jornadas están dedicadas al Amontillado.
On Thursday, the 12th of March, we attended the first in a series of presentations entitled “Get to Know and Enjoy our local Wines.” The event was sponsored by the cultural group: “Friends of the Puerto Patios,” and was held at the Bar Vicente. This series of presentations is dedicated to Amontillado sherry wines.
La interesante presentación estuvo a cargo de Miguel Lara Benítez del Centro IFAPA Rancho de la Merced. El tema fue “Las vides autóctonas de Andalucía”.
El próximo jueves a las 8 de la tarde Jorge Pascual Director de la Bodega Delgado Zuleta hablará de “Amontillados de fino y amontillados de manzanilla” . Se catará un amontillado de cada.
La tercera y última presentación será una “Cata de cuatro amontillados del Marco del jerez”. Para más información podéis contactar con el Ateneo

This interesting presentation was led by Miguel Lara Benitas who is part of the IFAPA Merced Ranch Center. The topic was entitled “The Native Grape Varieties in Andalusia.”
Next Thursday at 8 p.m, Jorge Pascual, who is the Delgado Zuleta Winery Director, will talk about the “Amontillados derived from Fino sherries and the Amontillados derived from manzanilla wines.” We will be able to taste an amontillado from each category.
