Michico Takahashi-San se merece mucho más que ser la Star of the Week.  Hace treinta años creo el Sherry Club de Tokio, 30 años!!!  en Tokio!!!  Su local ostentó desde el 2005 hasta el 2014  el Record Guinness del Mundo por tener el mayor número de diferentes marcas de vinos de jerez, ¡227! Me parece increíble y genial.

Michico Takahashi-San deserves much more than being the Star of the Week.  Thirty years ago she created the Tokyo Sherry Club –  30 years ago!!! –  in Tokyo!!!  Her business in Tokyo held the Guinness World Record, from 2005 to 2014, for having the largest number of different brands of Sherry wines – 227!!   I think that is amazing and fantastic.

Michico-San visito Jerez con un grupo de los miembros de su Asociación del Sherry.  Tuve el honor de ser invitada a una cena por Momoko Izumi en la Bodega Faustino González y pasar un rato inolvidable con un estupendo grupo de #sherrylovers.  La cena del Catering González con los vinos de la bodega, fue espectacular y tanto los invitados japoneses como los que que no lo éramos, disfrutamos cada minuto.  La tarta de tocino de cielo fue el broche de esta celebración de los treinta años del Tokio Sherry Club.  Esperamos volver a verles pronto, ¿tal vez en Tokio??????

Michico-San visited Jerez with a group of members from Tokyo´s Sherry Association.  I had the honor of being invited to a dinner held by Momoko Izumi at the Faustino González Bodega.  We had an unforgettable time with a great group of #sherrylovers.   The dinner was catered by the “Catering González” group. Their dishes paired perfectly with the bodega´s wines.   It was a spectacular experience for our Japanese guests, as well as for everyone else.  We all enjoyed every minute.  The “tocino de cielo” cake was a very  special touch which honored the thirtieth anniversary of the Tokyo Sherry Club´s founding.    We hope to see all of our new friends very soon.  Perhaps, in Tokyo????
