Era Viernes de Dolores y nuestro menú estaba diseñado con productos de mar y huerta.  Cuando nos sentamos a diseñarlo tuvimos muy en cuenta los diferentes maridajes que Pepe Ferrer nos había enseñado en la anterior reunión.  Volvimos pues a desafiar al paladar esta vez con tapas muy pensadas y elaboradas por las chefs de las Sherry Girls del equipo Discover Sherry y unos estupendos jereces de la Bodegas Delgado Zuleta.

It was Good Friday and our menu was comprised of products from the sea and from our garden.  When we sat down to design the menu, we kept in mind the various pairings that Pepe Ferrer had taught us about at our previous Sherry Explorers´meeting.  Once again, we challenged our palates, but this time with tapas which were created and prepared by the Sherry Girl chefs of the Discover Sherry team, paired, of course, with wonderful sherry wines from the Delgado Zuleta winery.

También fue especial ya que los diferentes vinos los presentaron seis voluntarios de los Sherry Explorers.  A todos un sobresaliente ya lo hicieron muy bien.

This was also a very unique tasting, since each wine was presented by each one of six Sherry Explorer volunteers.  They all did an excellent job and should receive the highest praise.

Según los asistentes todo estaba buenísimo y nadie se fue con hambre.  Los presentadores recibieron una botellita de Manzanilla La Goya para celebrar su éxito.

According to all of our guests, everything tasted great and no one left hungry.  Each of our presenters received a small bottle of Manzanilla La Goya in order to celebrate a job well-done.

Entre los invitados había 12 angloparlantes, de EE.UU., del Reino Unido, Irlanda, de los Países Bajos y Alemania además de un amplio espectro de la provincia y otras regiones de nuestro país.

Joining us that evening were 12 English-speakers who were from the U.S., the UK, Ireland, Holland, and Germany.  In addition, there was a wide variety of people from our local province as well as other Spanish regions.

Trabajamos mucho y acabamos destrosás pero muy contentas con todos los excelentes comentarios de los asistentes.  En el video podéis ver más fotos de este estupendo evento. ¡Una o varias imágenes valen más que mil palabras!

We worked very hard that evening, and were exhausted afterwards, but we were very pleased with the compliments that we received from our guests.  In the attached video, you can see more photos that were taken on this wonderful evening.  As they say, “One (or two) pictures are worth a thousand words!”
