Ya hacía tiempo que quería aprender sobre los cócteles con vinos de jerez y gracias a The Wine Room Club de Vinos, un grupo de Sherry Explorers, asistimos a una clase de Coctelería Generosa.

It had been some time that I wanted to learn about the cocktails that are made with Sherry wines.  Thanks to The Wine Room Club de Vinos, a group of Sherry Explorers were able to attend a class on the preparation of Genoroso Sherry Wine cocktails.

El organizador, Juanma Figuereo, nos dio la bienvenida a todos y nos presentó al sumiller y experto en coctelería, Antonio Figuereo.  Paso a paso fue haciendo cada cada cóctel y nosotros los fuimos probando.  Aquí os paso las recetas.

The event organizer, Juanma Figuereo,  welcomed us and introduced us to  Antonio Figuereo,  who is a somellier and a cocktail expert.  Step by step he introduced us to cocktails that he was preparing.  Of course, were able to taste them all.   Below are the recipes for each cocktail that Antonio prepared.

Pero ahí no acababa la cosa, ahora nos tocaba a los asistentes salir y demostrar lo que habíamos aprendido.  En mi caso era la primera vez que hacía un cóctel.  No lo debimos de hacer muy mal porque se bebieron todos.  Nos encontramos con amigos de este mundo tan especial, aprendimos mucho y lo pasamos muy bien.

But that wasn´t the end of the experience.  Afterwards, it was our turn to prepare a cocktail based on what we had learned.  For me, it was the first time that I had ever prepared a cocktail.  We must have learned well, since all of the cocktails subsequently disappeared!  We were accompanied by many friends that are part of this special Sherry world.   We all learned a lot and had a great time.
