Se ha inaugurado un restaurante de auténtica comida de la India, el NOOR MAHAL.  Está en la Urbanización de El Bosque de Jerez en el antiguo retaurante Casa  Chan.

NOOR MAHAL, an authentic Indian Restaurant, has opened in the El Bosque area in the city of Jerez.   It used to be the old Casa Chan Chinese restaurant.

Tiene una amplia carta como veis más abajo.  Los Papadums o pan de lentejas crujientes estaban riquísimos y los sirven con diferentes salsas.  Probamos varios platos de diferentes carnes y gambas en salsas, arroz basmati, todo acompañado del pan tradicional indio horneado en tandoor,  el Naan, lo probamos de queso, de coco, y de ajo, todo delicioso.  Hasta algunos de los amigos que no habían probado nunca esta cocina, salieron encantados.  Probamos también la cerveza india, Cobra y la próxima habrá que probar estos exquisitos platos con un jerez Amontillado o un Oloroso e incluso un Medium que creo que armonizarán a la perfección.  Una experiencia que merece la pena, os recomendamos el Noor Mahal.  Podéis reservar llamando a estos números: 956 407 137  o 602 107 827

The restaurant has an incredibly varied menu as you can see below.  The Papadum, a crispy, lentil bread, was exquisite and it was served with a variety of very tasty sauces.  We also tried dishes that consisted of different meats and shrimp, with their own unique sauces, accompanied by basmati rice.  Their traditional bread, Naan, was baked in a tandoor and each piece had a delicious topping, such as cheese, coconut, and garlic. Some of our friends, who had never tried this type of cuisine,  were delighted  with the incredible variety of flavors that they experienced.  Although this time we paired our meal with the Indian beer Cobra, next time we will have to try pairing these delicious dishes with an Amontillado or an Oloroso sherry or even a Medium sherry, which I think would harmonize perfectly.  Dining at the Noor Mahal  is an experience that we highly recommend.  You can make your reservations by calling either of these numbers: 956 407 137 or 602 107 827.
