Muy emocionados y nerviosos planeando nuestra primera cata en Texas, concretamente en San Antonio.   Después de muchos preparativos y viaje largo, llegó el día.   Susy Matheu de la Casa de España había hecho un trabajo estupendo.  Todo estaba listo, los vinos de González Byass preparados, el material del Consejo Regulador y los salacots ya habían llegado, el menú del Restaurante Tribeca 212, también listo y el aforo: Completo.  Muy pronto os contaremos más cosas y publicaremos más fotos.  Solo deciros que fue una experiencia estupenda y fue genial ver el interés de los asistentes en aprender sobre estos vinos que erán para la mayoría unos desconocidos.  Una pena, pero contentos de poner nuestro granito de arena.  Ah!! y ya hay 29 nuevos Sherry Explorers!!

We were very excited and nervous as we planned our first Sherry-tasting in Texas, specfically in San Antonio.  After a lot of planning and a long trip, the day finally arrived.   Susy Matheu, of the Casa de España, had done a tremendous job in laying the groundwork.  Everything was ready to go.  The González Byass wines were ready.  The printed material from the Regulatory Council and the Pith helmets  had arrived.  The menu at the Tribeca 212 restaurant was also ready, and we had a full-house.  Soon, we will provide you with more details and lots of photos.  At this point, we can only say that it was an incredible experience and that it was pleasing to see the interest displayed by the attendees in learning about these wines which were, for many, unknown.  Such a shame, but we were happy to make our contribution to educating the world about these treasures.  By the way, we have 29 new Sherry Explorers!!
