Nieves Sierra y Vicky Miller del Equipo Discover Sherry, junto con el chef Javier del Restaurante Delirios y su equipo, teníamos todo listo. Las botellas de Manzanilla La Goya y los otros premios que se rifarían al final, el tapón con la tarjeta y una palabra del vocabulario del jerez para el sorteo, la pantalla y el power point preparado y nuestra mascota, EDU, presidiendo.

Ya estábamos a punto de recibir a un estupendo grupo de leoneses que vendría a uno de los mejores restaurantes de esta ciudad, el restaurante Delirios. Comenzaría así un viaje en el que experimentaríamos los placeres mas fascinantes. Una explosión de los sentidos en el que los platos de alta gastronomía del chef Javier Rodríguez y los selectos vinos de jerez de la Bodega Delgado Zuleta, nos harían rozar el delirio.

Nieves Sierra and Vicky Miller, of the Discover Sherry Team, along with Chef Javier at the Delirios Restaurant, and his team, were all ready to go. The bottles of La Goya Manzanilla, as well as other gifts that would be part of the door-prize drawing, the cork stoppers that served to hold the cards which contained a Sherry wine-related word, the power-point presentation and screen were all ready to go, while, of course, EDU our mascot, presided.

We were ready to greet a wonderful group of León natives who were about to arrive to enjoy themselves at one of the best restaurants in town – the Delirios Restaurant. That is how we would begin the journey that led us to experience some of the most fascinating culinary pleasures. It would be an explosion of the senses when we combined the gourmet cuisine dishes created by Chef Javier Rodríguez with the select Sherry wines from the Delgado Zuleta Winery, which lead us to almost reach a state of delirium.Expusimos la colección Vida (visible e invisible) de la fotógrafa jerezana María Higuero, que muestra el recorrido del proceso de reparación de una bota de jerez, que es una parte vital de la bodega y del arte del tonelero. Gustó mucho a todos los asistentes.

We were able to strategically position the photography collection, Vida (visible e invisible)/ Life (visible and invisible) created by professional photographer, María Higuero, who is from the City of Jerez. The exhibit documents the elaborate process of the reconstruction of a wine cask, which is a vital part of a winery, while in the artistic hands of the winery´s cooper. Many of our invited guests were very impressed with the exhibit.Cada plato con su Manzanilla La Goya o Manzanilla en Rama La Goya Magnum, con su Medium Las Señoras, su amontillado Zuleta Viejo o su Amontillado Monteagudo, o con su Pedro Ximénez Monteagudo, fue una increíble experiencia. Cada plato era una obra de arte que explosionaba con diferentes sensaciones con ese vino de jerez impresionante. Un delirio total.

Each of the dishes were paired with its Manzanilla La Goya or Manzanilla en Rama La Goya Magnum, with its Medium Las Señoras, its Amontillado Zuleta Viejo or its Amontillado Monteagudo, or with its Pedro Ximénez Monteagudo, creating an incredible experience. Each course was a work of art which delighted us with different sensations when they were harmonized with the accompanying and impressive Sherry wines. It was total delirium.

Los vinos que cataron sorprendieron a todos, hubo muchas preguntas, mucho interés. Los vinos de jerez de Sanlúcar de la Bodega Delgado Zuleta enamoraron a todos los presentes. Junto a la alta gastronomía de Delirios, espectacular.

The Sherry wines that our guests tasted surprised everyone. There was a lot of interest and a lot of questions. The Delgado Zuleta sherry wines, from this Sanlúcar winery, enamored everyone that was present. Along with the Delirios gourmet cuisine, everything was spectacular.Invitamos a todos los presentes a hacer el juramento de los Sherry Explorers y así lo hicieron. Es un honor tener a un grupo tan estupendo en León que promocionará los vinos y brandies de jerez, y celebrará sus ocasiones especiales con estas joyas. ¡ENHORABUENA Y BIENVENIDOS a los nuevos Sherry Explorers!

We invited everyone that was present to take the Sherry Explorers´ oath. They all gladly accepted. It is a true honor to have such an extraordinary group represent us in the City of León. As they promised, they will promote our Sherry wines and Jerez Brandy, and they will celebrate their special occasions with these treasures. CONGRATULATIONS AND WELCOME ABOARD to all the new Sherry Explorers!
