Como buenos Sherry Explorers, seguimos explorando y demostrando que el jerez va con todo.  Hoy hemos probado el cocodrilo con manzanilla La Goya XL ¡Interesante!

El cocodrilo es el mayor reptil que existe.  Los machos pueden llegar a medir 6 metros y pesar hasta 750 kgs. Pueden encontrarse en Zimbabwe, Sudáfrica; el sudeste asiático; Australia; sur de Estados Unidos y América latina.

“¿A qué sabe el cocodrilo?” me preguntareis.  Es como una mezcla entre pollo y pescado o mejor entre pollo y cangrejo.  Una carne blanca, suculenta con una textura blanda en el caso de la hamburguesa y un sabor bueno, interesante.  Es rica en proteínas, baja en grasa y colesterol, además cabe destacar su contenido en ácidos grasos ´buenos´ Omega 3.

As tireless Sherry Explorers, we continue to explore and discover that Sherry wines can be paired with everything.  Today, we will taste crocodile meat with a glass of La Goya XL Manzanilla.  Interesting!

The crocodile is the largest reptile in the world. Males can grow to a length of 6 meters (20ft) and weigh 750 kgs (1650lb).  They can be found in Zimbabwe, South Africa; southeast Asia; Australia; South America, and the southern United States.

“What does crocodile meat taste like?” It is like a cross between chicken and fish or, better yet, between chicken and crab. 

It is a succulent white meat with a soft texture in the case of the burger and a good, interesting flavor. It is high in protein, and low in fat and cholesterol. In fact, it has more protein than chicken breast, and is full of “good” Omega-3 fats.
