Como todos sabemos, dadas las circunstancias, no podemos llevar a cabo las actividades propias de los Sherry Explorers pero cuando alguien nos pide hacer el juramento y unirse a los incansables exploradores del vino y brandy de jerez y manzanilla de Sanlúcar, no nos podemos negar.

As we all know, due to the circumstances, we can’t enjoy our usual Sherry Explorers activities.  But, when someone asks us to administer the oath of the “tireless explorers of Sherry wines, Jerez brandy, and Sanlúcar manzanilla wine,” we can’t deny such a request.

Y eso es lo que pasó.  Valeria, una buena amiga del Restaurante Tilcara llevaba tiempo queriendo hacerse Sherry Explorer así es que nos pusimos a ello y se le unieron otros cuatro amigos.

So, that is what happened.  Valeria, a good friend of ours at the Tilcara Restaurant, has been wanting to become a Sherry Explorer for a while.  We got together with her and four of her friends.

Con su salacot, una venencia o caña sanluqueña en una mano y una copa de Tio Pepe en la otra, hicieron su juramento y… ¡¡¡ya son SHERRY EXPLORERS!!!

While wearing their Explorer salacot, with a venencia or Sanlúcar reed in one hand and a glass of Tio Pepe Fino sherry in the other, they took their oaths, we toasted and… they are now SHERRY EXPLORERS!!!

Las Sherry Girls (las que trabajamos en las actividades) organizamos todo y celebramos el cumpleaños de Petra que dentro de muy poco vuelve a Phoenix para seguir promocionando España y su cultura.

The Sherry Girls (the working group during activities) organized it all and we also celebrated Petra’s birthday.  She will be returning to Phoenix soon in order to continue to promote Spain and its culture.
