El jerez es un vino gastronómico, y así lo demuestran bares, restaurantes y tiendas especializadas en su día a día, labor que reconocen los Premios Solera, instaurados en 2016 por la revista digital Cosasdecomé y el Consejo Regulador, con el apoyo de la Diputación de Cádiz y Grupo Joly -empresa editora de Diario de Jerez, Diario de Cádiz y Europa Sur-, para destacar aspectos de la gastronomía relacionados con el vino.

Sherry wine is linked to Spanish gastronomy.  This is obvious in the day-to-day activity of cafes, restaurants, and specialty stores, in the province of Cadiz.  This activity is recognized by the Solera Awards which were created in 2016 by the digital periodical Cosasdecomé, and by the Sherry Wine Regulatory Authority, in order to highlight the varied gastronomy that is linked to these wines.  This ongoing effort is also assisted by the cooperation of the Cádiz Provincial Government, as well as by three newspapers printed by the Grupo Joly – Diario de Jerez, Diario de Cádiz, and Europa Sur.

El periodista gastronómico y editor de Cosasdecomé, Pepe Monforte, el presidente del Consejo Regulador, César Saldaña, y el director de Diario de Jerez, Rafael Navas, entregaron los premios.   El acto ha contado igualmente con la presencia de Antonio María de Ceballos, presidente de la patronal hostelera, Horeca, y la diputada delegada en Innovación, Municipios Inteligentes y Transformación en la Diputación de Cádiz, Isabel Gallardo. Pepe Monforte, gastronomy journalist and editor of Cosasdecome, César Saldaña, President of the Sherry Wine Regulatory Authority, and Rafael Navas, Director of the Diario de Jerez, announced the awards.  Also in attendance at the announcement ceremony were Antonio María de Ceballos, who is President of the Horeca hotel association, and Isabel Gallardo, who is the designated representative in the development of Municipal Innovation and Transformation for the Cadiz Provincial Government.
