Se celebra este mes de septiembre los 500 años de la vuelta al mundo, probablemente una de las mayores hazañas que se conocen.  El Círculo de Artesanos de Sanlúcar lo celebró con una cena en el Castillo de Santiago en el que los invitados acudieron vestidos de la época del histórico viaje de Elcano. 

This month of September marks the 500th anniversary of the circumnavigation of the world.  It is probably one of the greatest achievements known to man.  The Círculo de Artesanos de Sanlúcar celebrated this historical accomplishment with a dinner at the Castillo de Santiago, in Sanlúcar,  where the guests were dressed in costumes from the times of that historic voyage. 

A sizeable group of Sherry Explorers were in attendance.  As was likely to occur, they  enjoyed themselves by sharing toasts with  a magnificent Manzanilla wine.
