

At the El Maestro Sierra winery the First Pilar Plá Pechovierto Award for Entrepreneurship and Excellence was presented to Antonio Ramírez Sánchez for his initiative relating to the Tabanco El Pasaje.

The award selection jury members were all present for this emotional and exciting event. The jury was chaired by María del Carmen Borrego Plá and was composed by Ana Cabestrero, Rosario Ortiz, Francisco Salas, Rafael Valiente, and Sonia Arnáiz.
Carmen Borrego Plá, destacó los méritos del ganador como la defensa del vino de jerez y del flamenco, la promoción de nuestros valores y la capacidad para trascender más allá de nuestras fronteras entre otros. Antonio Ramírez Sánchez, recibió con gran emoción el premio frente a un retrato de Doña Pilar.
Before the presentation of the award, Carmen Borrego Plá lauded the efforts of the winner for his promotion of sherry wines and flamenco. These efforts were focused on the ability of both sherry wines and flamenco to transcend our borders worldwide. Antonio Ramírez Sánchez, received his award with great emotion while standing in front of a portrait of Doña Pilar.

There were many local personalities present. As always, we were very excited to meet up with other Sherry Explorers, as well as several Honorary Sherry Explorers, at the event.

Doña Pilar and Carmen were named Honorary Sherry Explorers in 2018 and we are very excited to share these photos of that day with you.
