Once upon a time……………I found this Tío Pepe cookie cutter online and I thought that it would be fun to make cookies with the outline of the bottle of this world-famous Sherry wine.  So, I ordered some for the chefs of the Discover Sherry Team.  I could use them in our tastings, put them in a nice bag and give them as a gift for Christmas,….

Erase una vez….. un molde de cortar galletas que vi en la red con la forma del Tío Pepe y pensé que sería divertido hacer galletas con la forma de la botella de este mundialmente famoso vino de Jerez, así es que encargué unos cuantos para las chefs del equipo Discover Sherry.  Podría usarlos en nuestras catas, hacer galletas para regalar en Navidad…..

When the Tío Pepe cookie cutters arrived I made my Tío Pepe cookies, and this is what turned out, totally out of shape Tío Pepes.  Mind you, they tasted great but didn´t look anything like the elegant sherry bottle. Unfortunately, as you can see, baking is not one of my strengths.

Cuando llegaron los moldes hice mis galletas de Tío Pepe y así salieron, unos Tío Pepes un tanto extendidos.  De sabor estaban muy buenas pero no se parecían en nada a la elegante botella del vino de Jerez.  Lo de hacer galletas no es uno de mis fuertes.., está claro

These look a lot better and they also tasted great.  Colette from the Discover Sherry team made them, she is a great chef and makes yummy desserts.

Estas ya tienen otro aspecto mucho mejor y estaban muy ricas.  Las hizo Colette del equipo Discover Sherry una gran cocinera a la que se le dan de maravilla los postres.

These were made by Rocío and Alex and also look great, especially the red Tío Pepe hat.

Estas las hicieron Rocío y Alex y les salieron estupendas y sobre todo el sombrero rojo de Tío Pepe.
