“Balti: Adventures in a Bodega” is a story, written in a children´s book format, with the intent of educating children about the production of wine in the Sherry Wine production zone.  Balti, a mouse who has recently moved to the countryside with his family, embarks on an adventure when he mistakenly is stuck aboard a truck that is transporting newly harvested grapes in the vineyards surrounding Jerez.  He ends up in a bodega in Jerez where he meets his mentor Monti, a cultured and refined bodega mouse, who introduces Balti to the world of Sherry Wine production.  He eventually advises Balti on how to safely return to the field where he came from,  so that he can tell his family about the wonders of a sherry bodega.  It is a fascinating and entertaining medium by which Spanish children are further immersed in a world which they see, experience, and hear about everyday.  

“Balti: aventuras en la bodega”, es un cuento escrito en formato de libro para niños con la intención de enseñar a los más pequeños sobre la producción del vino de Jerez.  Balti, un ratoncito que se acaba de mudar al campo con su familia, se embarca en una aventura cuando inesperadamente es transportado durante la vendimia en un camión que lleva la uva recién cortada en la viña a la bodega para su prensado y elaboración.  En esa bodega conoce a Monti que se convertirá en su mentor.  Monti es un ratón de bodega culto y refinado que introduce a Balti en el mundo del vino de Jerez.  Después de muchas aventuras le guía para que vuelva sano y salvo al campo donde vive con su familia y a la que contará las maravillas de una bodega de Jerez.  Es un medio fascinante y entretenido a través del cual los niños sobre todo los que viven en el Marco de Jerez se van aprendiendo y comprendiendo más sobre ese mundo que ven, oyen y experimentan cada día.
