El pasado 12 de diciembre se inauguró la exposición de María Higuero divino jerez.  No pudimos asistir a la inauguración lo que nos dio mucha pena pero ayer que tuvimos que ir a Jerez nos acercamos a visitarla y os recomendamos a todos que la visitéis.  Estará abierta hasta el 7 de enero.

This past 12th of December, the grand opening of the photo exhibition “divino jerez,” by Maria Higuero, was celebrated.  We could not attend the event and we were sorry that we had missed it, so, yesterday, we were in Jerez and we dropped by they gallery to see the exhibition.   We highly recommend that you do the same.  The exhibition will run through the 7th of January.

La exposición tiene lugar en la Sala Pescadería Vieja y está dedicada a Jerez, Ciudad Europea del Vino.  Se muestran 33 retratos de distintos personajes de Jerez vinculados al vino, el arte, la política u otras facetas de la vida social. Todos ellos posan con una copa de vino de Jerez en sus manos.  Son unas fotos impresionantes  que muestran la estrecha  relación entre los protagonistas y nuestro vino.  Cada foto va acompañada de una reflexión sobre las sensaciones que el vino produce al protagonista.

The exhibition is located at the old Fish Market building, and it is dedicated to Jerez, the 2014 European City of Wine.  There are 33 photos of different persons from Jerez that are linked to wine, art, politics, and other facets of  daily life in the City of Jerez.  They have all posed while holding a glass of sherry in their hands.  The photos are very impressive and demonstrate the fine link between the subjects and our wine.  Each photo is accompanied by the subject´s thoughts and sensations that Sherry wine produces for them.

María Higuero fue alumna del Colegio Miller así es que nos sentimos muy orgullosas como siempre que vemos a antiguos alumnos felices y contentos con lo que hacen.  Congratulations, María, excellent job!!

Mariá Higuero is a former Miller School student.  We are very proud of her as we always are whenever we see former alumni who are doing well and are happy with what they are doing.  Congratulations, Maria! Excellent job !!
