En el Auditorio del Hotel Monasterio San Miguel en El Puerto se presentó el cartel de la XVII Fiesta de los Patios Portuenses que se celebrará del  23 al 26 de abril.  El alcalde de la ciudad, Alfonso Candón y la autora del cartel, la fotógrafa Toñi Flores hicieron el honor de descubrirlo.  Mª José Ruiz fue la encargada de la presentación y la bienvenida la dio el presidente de la Asociación de los Amigos de los Patios Portuenses, Nani Delgado Poullet que también anunció el hermanamiento con la Asociación de Cádiz Euskádiz.

Last Thursday evening, at the Hotel Monasterio San Miguel´s auditorium, in El Puerto, the poster for the XVII El Puerto Patio Fiesta was presented.  This year, the Patio Fiesta will be held from the 23rd to the 26th of April.  The City´s Mayor, Alfonso Candón, and the poster´s artist, who is also a photographer, Toñi Flores, unveiled the poster last Thursday evening.

Maria José Ruiz was in charge of the presentation, and the welcome address was provided by Nani Delgado Poullet, who is the President of the Friends of the Puerto Patios Association.   A sister-association relationship, with the Cádiz Euskádiz Association, was also announced.

Acudió también la delegada de Educación y Cultura de la Junta de Andalucía, Elena Saucedo, que dió la enhorabuena a la ciudad de El Puerto por la labor cultural y de promoción del patrimonio que realiza.

Also in attendance was the Education and Culture representative for the Junta de Andalucia, Elena Saucedo, who congratulated the City of El Puerto for its efforts  in promoting the city´s cultural and historical treasures.

A las damas nos regalaron a la llegada esta preciosa flor.  A pesar de que había un partido del Real Madrid el Auditorio estaba lleno.

Upon our arrival, all of the ladies received one of these beautiful flowers.  The auditorium was full, even though there was a Real Madrid soccer game being televised that night.

Entonces llegó el momento en el que el jurado del año pasado entregó el pin y el delantal de los Patios Portuenses a las cuatro integrantes del nuevo jurado y tres de las cuales somos Sherry Explorers por lo que estaremos muy bien representados.

Para finalizar la velada el Hotel Monasterio ofreció una copa de jerez que fue el final perfecto de una tarde emocionante y agradable.

A significant part of the event took place when last year´s jury delivered the Friends Association pin and apron to the four members of this year´s jury.  Three of the members are Sherry Explorers, so we are well represented and are ready to fulfill our duties.

Afterwards, the hotel offered us a glass of sherry, which was the perfect end to a pleasant and exciting evening.
