GastroCádiz 2015

Un año más se celebró GastroCádiz en la Bodega Delgado Zuleta.  Un buen grupo de Sherry Explorers cumplimos con nuestro deber y exploramos.

It was another year celebrating GastroCádiz at the Delgado Zuleta winery.  A good group of Sherry Explorers fulfilled our duty and we explored.

Nos encontramos con muchos amigos, conocimos a otros nuevos, probamos muchas cosas ricas y las acompañamos de los vinos de la bodega, manzanilla La Goya y Barbiana, toda la gama de Zuleta, Viña Galvana, y también sirvieron la nueva manzanilla ecológica Entusiástica.   Una treintena de empresas de la provincia de Cádiz mostraron sus productos.  Quesos, empanadas, chocolates, cócteles con vinos de Delgado Zuleta, helados, sal, embutidos, productos Tex-mex, Bochas, panes, regañás y más cosas.

We ran across many friends, we made new ones, we tasted many delicious things, and we paired them with Delgado Zuleta wines, including manzanillas La Goya  and Barbiana, the whole Zuleta  wine product line, Viña Galvana, and the new organic manzanilla -Entusiástica.   There were about thirty companies from the Cádiz province that provided samples of their products.  Cheeses, turnovers, chocolates, cocktails made with Delgado Zuleta wines, ice cream, sea-salt, sausages, Tex-Mex products, (Bochas (sherry caviar), breads, Spanish breadsticks, and many other things.

Juan Antonio Mena del Blog TUBAL,  presentó a los tres cocineros que participaron en el showcooking.  El año pasado como parte del programa hubo un ronqueo, un despiece de un atún.  Este año fue un despiece de un cerdo.  El experto explicando las distintas partes que iba cortando.  Muy interesante.  El evento fue un éxito y hubo lleno total.  Enhorabuena a los organizadores.

TUBAL blog´s Juan Antonio Mena  presented the three chefs that participated in the showcooking.  Last year, as part of the program, there was a “ronqueo,” a demonstration of the methods used to butcher a tunafish.   This year there was a demonstration of  the methods used to butcher a pig.  The expert butcher identified the distinct parts as he made his cuts.  It was very interesting.  The event was a success with a capacity crowd in attendance.  Congratulations to the event´s organizers.
