El aforo completo,  D´Sherry Explorers en su primera clase del año.   Una clase magistral sobre los vinos de jerez: el documental de José Luis López Linares,  Jerez & El Misterio del Palo Cortado.

With a full house, the D´Sherry Explorers held its first class of the year.  It was a Master Class relating to Sherry wines:  a viewing of the documentary film, by  José Luis López Linares,  entitled “Jerez & El Misterio del Palo Cortado.”

Con una copa de Palo Cortado de Delgado Zuleta o de González Byass en la mano y los cinco sentidos a tope,  los 90 minutos pasaron volando.  Que magnífico documental.  Todos encantados, los que no la habían visto, los pocos que sí la habíamos, los que saben mucho sobre el jerez, los que no saben tanto, a todos nos transportó a otro mundo, distinto y maravilloso!!

With a sherry glass of Delgado Zuleta or González Byass Palo Cortado in our hand, and with all five senses activated, the 90 minutes passed without our noticing.  What a magnificent documentary!  Everyone was delighted – those that had not seen it, the few of us that had, those who know a lot about sherry, and those that didn´t know much about it.  We were all transported to a different and marvelous world.!!

¡¡17 nuevos Sherry Explorers!!  ¡¡Bienvenidos!!  Ya sabéis que con el juramento os ha cambiado la vida y ahora toca seguir aprendiendo sobre el jerez y promocionar nuestro tesoro por todo el mundo.

17 new Sherry Explorers!  Welcome!   You now know that, with the oath you have taken, your life has changed.  Now it is your duty to continue to learn about sherry wine and to promote our treasure throughout the world.

Los Sherry Explorers vienen de muchos sitios.  Esa noche habían venido de Sevilla, Sanlúcar, Cádiz, Chiclana, Conil, San Fernando, Jerez, Villamartín, El Puerto y de Bélgica!!

Los Sherry Explorers are from may different places.   This night they had come from Seville, Sanlúcar, Cádiz, Chiclana, Conil, San Fernando, Jerez, Villamartín, El Puerto, and from Belgium!

Los chefs de los Sherry Explorer se lucieron como en todas la reuniones.  Unas tapas exquisitas.  La decoración a cargo de Sofía del equipo Discover Sherry, genial.

The Sherry Explorer chefs shined like they do at all of our meetings with their exquisite tapas.  The decoration under the artistic direction of Sofia, a member of the  Discover Sherry team, was really great.

Acompañamos las tapas con Fino en Rama de la Bodega Rey Fernando de Castilla,  con Fino Valeroso de Bodegas Grant y el palo cortado de las bodegas Delgado Zuleta y González Byass que habíamos disfrutado durante el documental.

We paired the tapas with some Fino en Rama from the Rey Fernando de Castilla winery,  some Fino Valeroso from the Grant winery, and the Palo Cortado, from the Delgado Zuleta and Gonzalez-Byass wineries, which we had enjoyed while watching the documentary.
