Buenos recuerdos de VINOBLE 2016 / Good memories of VINOBLE 2016


Queridos amigos, aquí os dejamos un video con algunas fotos de Vinoble 2016.  Vinoble es el Salón Internacional de los Vinos Nobles que se celebra cada dos años en Jerez.   Este imprescindible evento tiene lugar en el Alcázar de Jerez, fortaleza árabe del siglo XI, que incluye el Palacio de Villavicencio, un remodelado edificio renacentista que convive con una antigua mezquita rodeada de espléndidos jardines.

Además de la exposición de los vinos nobles de la zona del Marco así como de otros países como Portugal, Hungría, Estados Unidos, Francia, etc..  se llevan a cabo catas muy especiales aunque este año no pudimos encontrar sitio en ninguna.  También hay showcookings, ahí tuvimos más suerte, y exposición de productos gourmet de la provincia: los quesos de la Sierra de la Cádiz como el queso negro de Buleri,  picos especiales con algas, o salicornia, etc…  Probamos vinos exquisitos y vimos a muchos amigos.  Deseamos a VINOBLE un futuro de crecimiento e impecable organización para que tenga un impacto mundial.

My dear friends, attached is a video with some photos of the Vinoble 2016 celebration.  Vinoble´s official name is the International Exposition of Noble Wines which is held every two years in the City of Jerez.  This  indispensable event takes place at the Alcázar de Jerez, which is a Moorish fort constructed in the eleventh century.  It includes the Villavicencio Palace which is a renovated Renaissance building which shares space with an ancient mosque and is surrounded by beautiful gardens.

In addition to the exposition of noble wines produced in the sherry-producing area, wines produced in other areas were also included.  Specifically, there were those from Portugal, Hungary, United States, and France.  The celebration includes very special wine tastings and pairings, but unfortunately this year we were unable to find a seat at any of them.   However, there were also several “show-cooking” events at which we had a little more luck, being able to attend one of those.  There was also an exhibition of gourmet products produced in the province of Cadiz; for example the Cadiz Sierra cheeses, which included the Buleri black cheese, and breadsticks containing sea algae and wetlands salt-grass. We tried several exquisite wines and saw a lot of  our friends.  We hope that the future will bring growth to VINOBLE and an impeccable planning, so that it will evolve into a world-renowned event.
