El día 8 de mayo tuvo lugar el showroom de El Sherry Festival en el Hotel María Cristina.  Nieves Sierra y Arturo Spagnolo, del equipo Discover Sherry, asistieron y nos cuentan que fue todo un  éxito.

On the 8th of May, the Sherry Festival showroom was opened at the  Hotel María Cristina, in San Sebastian.  Nieves Sierra and Arturo Spagnolo, members of the Discover Sherry team, attended and they told us that it was a complete success.

El día 11 fue nuestra primera experiencia como participantes en el Sherry Festival en San Sebastián en el Restaurante Tsi Tao.  En este conocido restaurante oriental presentamos nuestra primera cata de introducción a los vinos y brandy de jerez.  Maridamos delicias variadas orientales con magníficos jereces y brandy de las bodegas: Rey Fernando de Castilla, Faustino González y González Byass.  Al final de la cata hicimos el juramento de los Sherry Explorers, sorteamos regalos y le pusimos el delantal de EDU, nuestra mascota, a  Pomen Jim, el dueño del restaurante.  Todos los asistentes estuvieron encantados y nosotros también.

On the 11th, we had our first experience as Sherry Festival participants.  It was at the Tsi Tao Restaurant in downtown San Sebastian.  At this well-known oriental restaurant we presented our initial introductory tasting of Brandy and Sherry wines.  We paired various oriental delicacies with some magnificent sherries and brandy from these bodegas: Rey Fernando de Castilla, Faustino González, and González Byass.  At the end of the tasting we swore-in the new Sherry Explorers, had our traditional prize-drawing, and presented  Pomen Jim, the owner of the restaurant, our chef´s apron which features EDU, our mascot.  All the attendees had a wonderful time and so did we.
