Esteban Cosano es entre otras muchas cosas, medico, pintor, cultivador de bonsais, ávido lector, hace cerámica, también música, es Sherry Explorer, y en esta ocasión nos mostró su faceta de escritor.   El acto tuvo lugar en la Academia de San Dionisio de Jerez.  La presentación comenzó con Pilar Chico, Académica Numeraria y Sherry Explorer, y siguió con los doctores José Rodríguez Carrión y Francisco Doña Nieves.  También dijo unas palabras el Director de la Editorial Berenice, José María Arévalo y finalmente el escritor, Esteban Cosano.

Esteban Cosano is a Sherry Explorer.  Among many other things, he is also a physician, painter, bonsai-tree enthusiast, avid reader,  creates music and ceramics.  On this occasion, he revealed to us yet another facet of his life – he is an excellent writer.   The conference, at which his latest book was presented, took place at the San Dionisio Academy in Jerez.  The conference was commenced by Pilar Chico,  a Full Member of the Academy and a Sherry Explorer, and was then followed with commentaries by Doctors  José Rodríguez Carrión and Francisco Doña Nieves.  The Director of the Berenice Publishing Company, José María Arévalo, made some additional comments and ultimately  the book´s author, Esteban Cosano, spoke.

“VINCENT” es una novela biográfica de uno de los artistas más fascinantes del mundo de la pintura.  Vincent Van Gogh tuvo una vida intensa y compleja.  Todo magníficamente reflejado en la novela, nos cuentan los que ya la han leído.  Es de las que cuesta dejar.  Yo aunque solo voy por la página 34, puedo decir que ya me ha enganchado.  Después de la presentación se brindó con una copa de vino de jerez de las Bodegas Lustau.  Perfecto final para un acto perfecto.

“VINCENT” is a biographic novel relating to one of the most fascinating painters in the world of Art.  Vincent Van Gogh  lived a very intense and complex life which is well-reflected in this novel.  From those who have already read this fascinating work, it is said that it is very difficult to put down.   Speaking for myself, although I have only reached page 34, I can truly say that I am already hooked.  After the presentation of the novel, we made a toast to the author with a glass of Sherry wine, all of which were from the Lustau Winery.  A perfect end to a perfect evening.
