El año pasado nos visitó este grupo de amigas que veranea en Puentedey (Burgos), cada año pasa un fin de semana en algún sitio interesante.  Se quedaron en Jerez y organizamos visitas a bodegas y monumentos y además hicieron su juramento de Sherry Explorers.  Este año vinieron a El Puerto de Santa María y como buenas exploradoras incansables del vino y brandy de jerez, este año visitamos la Bodega Osborne.

Last year, we were visited by a group of friends that spend their summers in the town of Puentedey (Burgos).  Also, every year they spend a weekend together in some place that is interesting.  Last year, they stayed in Jerez and we organized some visits to wineries and to some historical sites.  More importantly, they were all sworn-in as Sherry Explorers.  This year they came to visit El Puerto de Santa María, and since they are all “true and tireless explorers of Brandy and Sherry wines”  we visited the Osborne winery.

Después de la estupenda visita, catamos sus vinos y pasamos a Toro Tapas, el magnífico restaurante donde disfrutamos de una comida riquísima armonizada con los vinos de la bodega.  Muchas gracias a Carla Terry Osborne.  A las Sherry Explorers de Puentedey, os esperamos el año que viene, ¿qué tal en Sanlúcar de Barrameda?

After our fantastic winery tour, we tasted some of their wines and continued on to the winery´s restaurant – Toro Tapas – where we enjoyed a spectacular lunch.  It was perfectly paired with even more of the winery´s fantastic sherry wines.   To Carla Terry Osborne – thank you very much for making our visit such a delight!  To the Puentedey Sherry Explorers – we hope to see you next year.  How about a visit to Sanlúcar de Barrameda?
