Los miembros de la tertulia ‘Encuentros de autores del Marco de Jerez’ formada por un grupo de apasionados del jerez,  han publicado un interesante libro: ‘Si mil hijos tuviera…’.  título del famoso monólogo de Falstaff, de Shakespeare y que los Sherry Explorers también tenemos en nuestro juramento.

The members of the literary circle ‘Encuentros de autores del Marco de Jerez’  (Encounters among authors within the Sherry Triangle),  composed of a group of Sherry wine enthusiasts,  have published an interesting book: ‘Si mil hijos tuviera…’ (If I had a thousand sons….) making reference to the famous monologue by Falstaff (a part of which is included in our Sherry Explorers´oath) in Shakespeare´s play Henry IV.   Este original libro esta escrito por 15 personas pertenecientes a familias relacionadas de alguna forma con el mundo del vino del jerez.  Cada una ha escrito un capítulo en el que cuentan recuerdos, experiencias o momentos históricos. Los autores son:  Beltrán y Nhean de Domecq Williams; Maribel Estévez Puerto; Paula Fernández de Bobadilla; Enrique García- Máiquez ; Rafael García-Angulo; Begoña García González-Gordon; Bibiana González-Gordon López de Carrizosa; Guadalupe Grosso; Javier Hidalgo Argüeso; Lorenzo y Antonio Díez y Romero-Valdespino y Myriam Soto; Carmen Oteo; y Fátima Ruiz de Lassaletta.  ¡De ellos hay 5 Sherry Explorers y dos Sherry Explorers Honorarios!  Las divertidas ilustraciones son de Ximena Maier y el libro ha sido patrocinado por la Banca March.

This unique book has been written by fifteen persons that are members of families that are part of the Sherry wine world, in one manner or the other.  Each person has written a chapter of the book in which they relate personal memories, anecodotes, or historic moments which they have experienced.  The authors are:  Beltrán and Nhean de Domecq Williams; Maribel Estévez Puerto; Paula Fernández de Bobadilla; Enrique García- Máiquez ; Rafael García-Angulo; Begoña García González-Gordon; Bibiana González-Gordon López de Carrizosa; Guadalupe Grosso; Javier Hidalgo Argüeso; Lorenzo and Antonio Díez y Romero-Valdespino and Myriam Soto; Carmen Oteo; and Fátima Ruiz de Lassaletta.  There are five Sherry Explorers and two Honorary Sherry Explorers among them!   The amusing illustrations were created by Ximena Maier and the book has been sponsored by the March Bank.Con el propósito de promocionar y difundir el jerez en todo el mundo, al igual que hacemos los Sherry Explorers,  los contertulios han creado la hermandad de ‘Los mil hijos de Falstaff’ con los que estaremos encantados de colaborar.  Si estáis interesados podéis seguirlos y apuntaros en este enlace https://www.losmilhijosdefalstaff.com/
